Italian Day - by Dwayne 3/4L

On Monday, it was Italian Day. It was so fun! We played soccer and bocce. We had lots of sweet treats like cotton candy, biscuits with icing and gelati. My favourite activity was playing soccer, because the soccer rules in the game were so fun. When they called your number, you had to get the ball and try to score. The tastiest treat of the whole day was the cotton candy because it was so fluffy and tasty, like a cloud I could eat. Italian Day was AMAZING!

Dear families,

Last Monday on the 11th of November, a strange nest appeared in the Red Centre. It was for a Big Write, but before we wrote about it we made a plan about our stories by creating our creatures. Then we all got to paint an egg to match our creature. On Wednesday, we wrote a story about our creature and what problem might happen when it hatched. Our focus for the Big Write was Penny Punctuation, and we worked towards our punctuation goals. My favourite part was creating a paper egg to go with my story.
