NEW - Community Event Lions Club Carols by Candlelight
This is an annual community event which our students attend with family.
Wednesday 11th December at Mactier Park, 6-9pm.
Entertainment from 6:40pm.
Sacred Heart will sing around 7:10pm.
Students from Grade 1-6 are invited to join our Carols Choir.
In preparation to sing at Carols By CandleLight, we ask that students commit to attending practices. We will also be singing at Moyola and Parkvilla leading up to the event.
NEW - Christmas Fruit Bin
Grade 3-6 students painting our Christmas fruit bin, supplied by the Tatura Community Plan Group. Keep your eyes open for our bin in the centre of town!
NEW - A Fortnight in Foundation
It has been a while since our last piece in the newsletter but the Foundation classrooms have been very busy. We welcomed Miss Meg who has been working in our rooms on her placement for teaching.
Students have been working on Mathematical Investigations on a Monday afternoon. Last week the students enjoyed making a pet rock and comparing the mass to see who had the heaviest and lightest rocks. Thank you to Tatura Sand and Gravel for the donation of river rocks.
Another big 'Foundation thank you' goes out to Kirsty Richardson from Mes Amours in Tatura for the donation of Leo and the Kindness Rocks book. We read the story for World Kindness Day, and the students loved giving Leo a big hug. Leo will continue to be part of Mrs Tartaglia's classroom for the remainder of the year and next year in 2025.
A reminder that Week 8 is Foundation Swimming Week. Please remember to name all items of clothing as they all look the same when students are getting changed. Students can wear their swimmers under their uniform.

Volunteers
At Sacred Heart we value the support of volunteers. Over your child/ren’s journey through Primary School there are many opportunities to volunteer and support your child and the school. Please visit the volunteer page on the school website for further information.
Lunch Orders
Tatura Hot Bread Bakery will be providing the School lunch orders for two days a week. Lunch orders will be available Thursdays and Fridays. Please find below the 2024 price list. There is an example on how to correctly fill in the lunch order bag on Daily Messages, the Hot Bread Bakery has advised that all lunch orders need to be in the correct format. Thank you.
A reminder orders are to be done through the School, not to be dropped off at the Bakery.
Second Hand Uniform Sales
Sacred Heart will now only be accepting second hand uniform items as a donation to the school. If families wish to sell items we request that this is done privately. Please see below the current uniform stock available for purchase. If you wish to have a browse of the uniforms or make a purchase, please see Sally in the school office on Tuesday or Wednesday.
