Student Achievement

Tahlia is a member of the Barradambang Dancers - a Riverina public schools Indigenous dance group. The group spent a number of days in the July holidays engaged in workshops with the Australian Ballet team at Wagga. In these workshops they learnt new cultural dance movements which they performed for their family, elders and the community. The performance was inspired by the Wagga Wagga wetlands where all of the dancers were able to visit and connect more to their land.

The Barradambang Dancers have been successful in going to the NSW Public Schools State Dance Festival to be held this term in Sydney in Week 9. Tahlia will travel with the dancers to Sydney and perform in front of a large audience. This is a big night of performances of s from secondary and primary schools  all over the state. To be included in the dance festival, you have to be invited based on an audition recording that is submitted.

Congratulations to Tahlia on (yet another) amazing achievement.
