Year 3 Maths Games Day

On Friday last week, eight Year 3 students went on an excursion to the Maths Games Day at Derimut Primary School.

This is a day when students from a range of schools gather to work on Maths activities that are challenging and fun!

Elliot from 3/4G commented on the day, saying

“It was fun because I met different people from other schools and made friends. The activities were difficult, but I got better throughout the day. The last activity was really hard and took 45 minutes to complete.”

Billie, also from 3/4G said that

“The day was really fun because you got to work as a team to solve the difficult problems we were given. I also liked that they had a tent in the corner if you needed to calm down, which was nice!”

As always our students represented themselves and our school with distinction. We are happy to share that our students finished 6th on the day from a field of over 30 schools.
