Literacy Project with Bunnings

Student Literacy Project

We were lucky enough to have a visit to the school by Sarah from Bunnings to assist with a project and provide materials.

Students wrote a journal based on a step-by-step project that they would then complete. The subject was about 'teacher bias'. The focus was to direct instruction with a teacher bias for blue flowers. All students were requested to make something that included blue flowers, this being a 'bias' from the teacher. Students were then encouraged to form their own opinions and question the bias, in picture format. Kieesha took her own photos using a school laptop and created a journal documenting the task.
