Brain Olympia

On the 28th of August, two teams of students from years 4, 5 and 6 went to Inverell to participate in Brain Olympia.

Only twenty percent of the children who went to Brain Olympia had been there before. It was very new to most of us and we were very proud of how we both went considering it was almost everyone's first time at the competition. Our Pink team (Andy, Zoe, Christabel, Sam Pope, Sam Barratt, Lara, Charlotte and Ayla) finished strong with 90 points in the end coming in at fifth place and our Orange team (Harriet, Indie, Macie, Josie, Alice, Josh, Angus, Tilly and Phoebe) made it through to the next level with 97.5 points coming in with a close second place. Those students will be going to the finals in Gunnedah in two weeks.

We are very proud of ourselves and each other, we definitely proved that working as a team is important - ‘teamwork makes the dream work’! A big thank you to Mrs Little and Mr McManus and to everyone who participated at the wonderful day hosted by Holy Trinity in Inverell.
