OSHCLUB News
This week, our service was filled with colour, culture, and delicious food as we celebrated Lunar New Year and Shrove Tuesday! The children enjoyed learning about Lunar New Year traditions through a range of creative and hands-on experiences, while Shrove Tuesday brought extra excitement with pancakes enjoyed throughout the day.
Our Breakfast Club offered a warm and comforting start to each morning, with favourites including honey porridge, pancakes, yoghurt cones, waffles, and hashbrowns. For Snack Squad, the menu continued the celebratory theme with delicious options such as fried rice, pancakes, sushi bowls, nachos, and noodles, which the children thoroughly enjoyed.
The children immersed themselves in creative activities inspired by Lunar New Year and cultures from around the world. These included Lunar colouring sheets, creating traditional Spring Festival couplets, designing paper plate masks, and crafting mosaic world flags. They also explored traditional techniques such as Chinese knotting, paper cutting, and Lunar-themed origami. Word searches provided a fun and relaxing way to build on their learning and curiosity.
Our cooking experiences were another highlight, with the children baking cupcakes and decorating them with their own creative flair. This activity encouraged independence, creativity, and confidence in the kitchen, and the results were both beautiful and delicious.
Physical play was full of energy and teamwork, with games such as Minefield Challenge, Four Corners, Everyone’s It, basketball, tennis, skipping, and Gaga Ball keeping everyone active. The children also loved spending time on the junior playground, which provided new opportunities for exploration, imaginative play, and social connection.
This week was made even more exciting with the arrival of some wonderful new resources. The children enthusiastically used these to create loom bands, Hama bead designs, and handmade bracelets and necklaces. These activities encouraged creativity, patience, and pride in creating something from scratch.
It was a fantastic week of cultural celebration, creativity, and fun. The children showed great enthusiasm in trying new activities, learning about different traditions, and expressing themselves through art, cooking, and play. We look forward to another exciting week ahead!

It’s a wonderful way to help children build confidence, form new friendships, and feel comfortable as they begin their OSHC journey.
Each Prep child who attends will also receive a special Grow Kit to take home. Please remember to RSVP so we can prepare for everyone. We look forward to meeting our newest OSHC children and families!

If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.
As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!
Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
