Hello parents and carers of Marangaroo Primary School and happy 2026!

Welcome back everyone, I trust you’re all settling in well.

My name is Alyssa (kids call me Miss Alyssa), and I supervise the canteen operations alongside our wonderful P&C.

Here at Marangaroo Primary our canteen days are Thursdays and Fridays, with recess/lunch orders needing to be in by 9:30am.

You can do this a number of different ways:

You can go to www.myschoolconnect.com.au to place your orders online. If you need help signing up you can visit https://myschoolconnect.com.au/faqs or come into the canteen and we can provide you with a flyer and help walk you through the process.
You and/or your child can come to the canteen when the school grounds open at 8:30am and place your order. We have both cash and eftpos options available, however please note eftpos does come with a small 1.6% surcharge.
If your child is placing an order for themselves, please remind and encourage them to come to the canteen first thing in the morning before going to class. We do not sell lunch items at lunch. At Marangaroo Primary, recess and lunch orders need to be pre-ordered on the day.
If your child is struggling to remember to order in the morning, please speak to myself and their teacher so we can do our best to support them in implementing this important routine.
It may also help to provide a small note informing me what your child can or can’t purchase. Ie: budget limits, ice-creams and drinks for friends etc.

Important Things to note:

When ordering, please include the grade level your child/ren is in.
If your child/ren are in Pre-Primary or E-hub. Please notify the teachers on the day so they can support the students with the food collection on the day.

The vegetarian fried rice is sold out and will not be returning as a regular menu item.
The menu is for both staff and students - if you’d like gluten free options in our ranges (such as: lasagna, mac & cheese, butter chicken), please email or come and see me. As it’s imperative I know the demand for such items at a school of our size before ordering.
An updated menu will be coming in the next week or so.
Special order forms for Harmony Day Multicultural Lunch (20th of March) will be sent home with students in the coming weeks. An announcement on Class Dojo will be made when this happens.
The Canteen is currently looking for container donations. If your household has any spare containers with lids you’d like to part with, please drop them into the canteen on Thursday or Friday morning. Thank-you kindly.

If you’re interested in volunteering your time to support the canteen, even if it’s just for an hour or 2 in the morning or the afternoon, please either reach out via email or come see me at the canteen. Any involvement from the community is much appreciated.
