As we come to the end of a busy and rewarding term, I would like to take this opportunity to celebrate the many achievements across our campus and to thank our students, staff and families for the way you continue to partner with us in learning.
This term has been filled with memorable experiences. Our Secondary Years students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork and school spirit at the Swimming and Athletics Carnivals, while our Primary Years students showed determination and perseverance during the Cross-Country event this week. Year 6 Camp to Canberra was a highlight, providing valuable opportunities for students to build independence, strengthen friendships and create lasting memories.
Our Year 4 and Year 5 swimming programs supported confidence and skill development, and we commend students who approached scholarship exams and NAPLAN with focus and resilience. Academic conferences were another important moment of partnership - thank you to the many parents and students who attended the conferences and engaged in their child's learning. Finally, it has been a joy to see our Prep students settling so confidently into school life - a big milestone for our littlest people!
Harmony Week was a standout celebration of our diverse and vibrant community. We were blessed to witness the amazing talents and contributions of our students who made Harmony Day so memorable. A special thank you goes to the student volunteers who generously gave their time to perform at the Harmony Fair, and who ran the very popular hand mural and face painting stall. There were some very creative and talented artists at work. We also thank the parents who demonstrated patience and kindness towards our student volunteers who served the community so willingly - it is not easy to paint hundreds of faces in a short period of time!
As we approach Easter, we are reminded of God’s promise of renewal and hope: “If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). May this truth bring rest and joy over the break. I encourage our community to return next term refreshed, ready to learn, and committed to serving one another with grace and purpose.
