From the Principal

Just a reminder to families that the school will be closed on Monday, 1st of December for a staff planning day. MACSEYE will not be running a program on this day.

We have recently reviewed and updated the St Thomas More Emergency Management Plan. As bushfire season is approaching I have added some information in the "Important Information" tab about the school's procedure if there is a bushfire in the local area and also the school's procedure for Shelter in Place. I have also provided some information below about changes to school's procedure on Extreme Fire Days. Please note this is a directive from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools and not a school based decision.

After MACS (Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools) reviewed all schools on the Bushfire at Risk Register the St Thomas More fire risk rating (BAL score) was recorded at BAL-40. This means for the upcoming bushfire season our school will be closed on any days that have a rating of Extreme or Catastrophic. Families will be given plenty of notice if and when these days occur. I will provide more information as it comes to hand.
