Dear Families,
Thank you to all our families for your wonderful support with the CDS cans project. We are no longer collecting cans or bottles, as the project has now come to an end.
Take a look at our Advent-Social Justice projects as we learn about our Integrated Health topic "Fuel for the journey".

Christmas Concert
Jerusalem Community will be singing the song with Auslan-Joy to the World on Christmas Concert.
Please help your child practise the words for our Christmas concert. Here is the link for the video.
Students engaged in hands-on activities that promoted respect and teamwork during last week’s Inquiry and SEL sessions. Our learning focus last week was understanding how it feels to be included and excluded in groups and activities.

Literacy-Reading - We focused on the book 'Hey Awesome'.


Literacy-Phonics -During Phonics, we looked at the ui/ ew (oo) sound.




Mathematics-We continued implementing our Number Fluency practice each day and focused on Location.


Integrated-Health- This week, we started our Integrated Studies theme on shared rules and responsibilities and connected with Social & Emotional Learning. Students will engage in hands-on activities that promote respect and teamwork during Social & Emotional Learning. This week we focused on how to keep ourselves and others safe and show respect through what we say and do.




Religious Education - This week, we focused on Advent through sacred texts as being a time of preparation of the birth of Jesus. Through this we are also learning how we can all celebrate Advent.


Social & Emotional Learning - We focused on connecting with our Integrated Studies theme on shared rules and responsibilities. Students will engage in hands-on activities that promote respect and teamwork. This week we focused on how to keep ourselves and others safe and show respect through what we say and do.


AUSLAN - This week we focused on revisiting what we have learned to prep for the End of Year Reflection.
Literacy-Reading - We will continue focusing on the book 'Hey Awesome'.

Mathematics - We will continue implementing our Number Fluency practice each day and focus on Data.

AUSLAN - We will have the End of Year Reflection.
Read or watch the weekly book with your child at home (there is often a read aloud on you tube). Talk about what the book's most important ideas are.
Ask your child to retell the story using their own words.
Talk about who the characters are, where the story is happening.
Use the spelling words provided to make up sentences at home or simply a 5 word mini dictation.
Take the idea around Mathematics and ask students to repeat an activity they did at school, with you.
