A Fantastic Night To Remember: Grade 6 Graduation 2025
The 2025 Grade 6 Graduation was truly a fantastic night and a memorable celebration for our students, families and staff. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, pride and joy as we came together to mark this important milestone.
One of the highlights of the evening was the graduation speeches. Students delivered amazing, heartfelt speeches that were inspiring and often filled with humour, reflecting on years of learning, friendships and growth.
Each speaker captured the spirit of the graduating class, their love of their primary school years, and gratitude for their parents' and teachers' support and guidance.
Our school hall was transformed into a beautiful space thanks to the incredible efforts of the Graduation Parent Committee. The theme for the event was "A Starry Night", and the decorations shone beautifully, creating a warm and celebratory environment that perfectly matched the significance of the occasion. The students danced the night away and greatly appreciated the lolly bar too.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the Grade 6 Graduation 2025 such a wonderful success. Thank you to Sarah Harper for overseeing the event. It was truly a night to remember, and we wish our graduates every success as they move on to the next exciting chapter of their journey.
Rowville Academic Achievement Award
This student has shown outstanding commitment, leadership and academic excellence throughout the year. They approach every task with focus and determination, often taking their learning beyond the classroom and completing work to an exceptional standard. He is generous in supporting his peers, willingly sharing his understanding, and encouraging others to achieve their best.
As School Captain, he has led with confidence and humility, taking initiative in running assemblies and school events while representing the values of our school with pride. His enthusiasm for learning is evident through his involvement in the ACEs program, Swinburne’s Children’s University, and the Victorian High Abilities Program, where he has continued to challenge and extend himself by achieving a Distinction in Writing, all of which highlights his creativity, skill and dedication.
A true example of perseverance, excellence and kindness — congratulations to Eason Chua.
Tilly Aston Achievement Award
This award is presented to Emily Wiseman for her dedication and efforts towards giving back to her Scoresby community, both inside and outside of school.
Emily has been a dedicated HEART Captain of our school, demonstrating reliability, effort and consideration of others consistently. Emily worked very closely with her peers to initiate fundraising events at the school, including a "Fun with Family" afternoon to support a local wildlife worker, along with a games afternoon to fund the new purchase of our sandpit toys.
She also gives up her time to help out residents around the retirement home where her grandfather lives. Emily always offers a helping hand to her peers and teachers and ensures that all are feeling accepted and included in her class.
2026 Student Leaders
Last Friday, at assembly, our new student leaders for 2026 were announced. After a rigorous application process, including a written application, public speech and voting, our candidates for 2026 were chosen. Congratulations to those who achieved a captaincy role.
We are very much looking forward to working with these students next year. They are enthusiastic and we are keen to hear their voices and help them develop leadership skills over the coming year.
Congratulations QuickSmart Students
Congratulations to the 2025 Scoresby PS QuickSmart Numeracy students who, this week, graduated from the program. The 2025 graduating QuickSmart students are Alvaro A, Angela H, Arian F, Beaux W, James C, Madison M and Oscar O.
At a special celebration afternoon tea, these students were presented with a certificate and their own personal QuickSmart folder of the tasks they have completed across the year.
These students have worked hard over nearly 40 weeks, attending 30-minute QuickSmart sessions, 3 times a week, to build their automaticity in number facts. It has been wonderful to see them develop their confidence in Maths this year. We are all very proud of the success they have achieved.
Christmas Concert And Art Show
On Thursday 10th December, our community came together for our annual Christmas Concert and Art Show. It was a wonderful celebration, showcasing a fabulous display of work from The Arts program at Scoresby Primary School.
The performances and artwork highlighted the creativity, talent and enthusiasm of our students, and it was fantastic to see so many families and friends sharing in the celebration.
Thank you to our PFA - particularly Natasha Sadler, Erin Parkin, Mei Chan, Ehan Chua, Bella Leggate and Tommy Parkin - for providing a sausage sizzle, and to Tina for manning the canteen selling drinks and icy-poles.
