Grade 2 News

What a wonderful week we’ve had in Grade 2! 

Our students were very excited to attend the Galen Production of The Wizard of Oz, where they enjoyed seeing their past buddies performing on stage. It was a fantastic experience that sparked lots of conversation and inspiration back in the classroom.

In Maths, we have been learning about fractions and exploring how parts make up a whole. Students have enjoyed using hands-on materials and real-life examples to deepen their understanding.

We have also begun a new book study on The Little Refugee. 

The children are engaging thoughtfully with the story and discussing themes of resilience, courage, and belonging.

In History, we continue to explore the history of our local area, learning about how our community has changed over time.

In Religion, we have begun our focus on Advent, reflecting on this special season of preparation, hope, and kindness.

It has been a busy and engaging week of learning!
