Ryan's Rambling

Dear Families,
After a beginning of the week reminiscent of the middle of winter, it seems that summer has finally hit us.
I am excited that our School Mural is finally completed. At assembly this morning, our Student Leaders thanked Stephanie for all her hard work and dedication over the past term. It was nice to hear the applause from the students as our ribbon was cut. We are hoping that as many community members as possible will be able to join us on Monday afternoon for our official Mural Opening Ceremony. Please be there by 3pm at the latest, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the time together.
Our Inquiry Authentic Action took a wonderful turn this week with our Grade 5/6 students preparing and presenting their Science Fair. Our budding young scientists, wowed crowds with colour changing flames, lava lamps, ice cream, volcanoes, rockets and much more. Thank you to the many parents who were able to carve out time to attend; especially as we know what a busy time of year this is!
Next Tuesday is the state wide transition day, where all students will find out their classrooms and teachers for 2026. Our staff have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks to finalise the classroom placements. This endeavour always requires a lot of consideration, and I am confident we have the best fit for 2026. I would like to acknowledge that there was a significant number of parent requests this year, and that not all were able to be granted. Please also note that there is no room for changing classes going into 2026. We thank you for your understanding.
Have a fantastic weekend
Ryan
