Borrowing Over 2025
As the year draws to a close and the last two weeks approach, we thought it would be a great time to share some library statistics with you. This week, we are highlighting both Kindergarten and Stage 1.
Kindergarten
This year, our Kindergarten students borrowed a total of 3,502 books. This is an outstanding achievement, especially considering that for most of the year, students were only able to borrow two books per week. Below are the pod totals:
- Echidna: 1,061
- Koala: 1,528
- Wallaby: 931
Congratulations to all of Kindergarten for your amazing efforts and for showing a genuine love of reading through your library borrowing!
Year 1
Year 1 students were equally impressive, borrowing a total of 3,968 books from the beginning of the year. Pod totals are as follows:
- Lizard: 1,813
- Platypus 2: 965
- Water Dragon: 1,190
Well done to all our Year 1 friends, who, like Kindergarten, were only allowed to borrow two books each week until this term. This is a remarkable effort!
Year 2
Year 2 students borrowed an outstanding total of 5,883 books. These students were able to borrow three books per week, which means each student could have borrowed at least 147 books over 40 weeks. Pod totals are listed below:
- Frog: 2,305
- Platypus 1: 958
- Turtle: 2,620
Mr Matthews and the library team are so impressed by the junior school’s enthusiasm and love of reading. None of this would be possible without the support of our wonderful parents, so thank you for allowing your children to access and borrow from our library space. We will continue to provide your students with the best literature available.
Next week: Stage 2!
Until next week, have a wonderful weekend, and keep on reading!
