Presentation Day

At yesterday’s 3–6 Presentation Day, we took the opportunity to recognise not only the achievements of individual students, but also the growth and character shown by all our learners this year. While awards were given for academic excellence, effort, sport and citizenship, the message to students was clear: true success also comes from persistence, kindness, courage and being a supportive friend. These qualities build strong communities and shape who we become.

I also acknowledged the vital role of teachers, support staff and families in helping our students thrive. Their dedication, care and encouragement provide the foundations for learning and wellbeing. Whether or not your child received an award, we are proud of every student’s progress this year and look forward to all that lies ahead.

I look forward to the K-2 Presentation Day next week.

Morning tea

I would like to warmly invite all parents and carers who have contributed their time and energy to support the school this year to join us for our annual Thank You Morning Tea. The event will be held on Thursday, 11 December at 10:50 am in the school hall.

This special event is our way of recognising the many ways you’ve helped, from volunteering in classrooms and at events, to being part of the P&C or helping behind the scenes.

The morning tea is prepared and hosted by our staff as a small token of appreciation for the big difference your involvement makes to our school community. We look forward to seeing you there and saying thank you in person.

Family support

Earlier this week, I shared some sad news with our school community. During this time, I want to reassure you that we continue to have a strong network of support available at school. If your child would like to speak with one of our counsellors or if you feel they would benefit from a conversation, please don’t hesitate to contact the school. We are more than happy to help organise this support.
