This term, our school academy program has been actively engaging students in self-defense training on a fortnightly basis, helping them develop important safety skills and confidence.

Senior students also showcased their basketball talents by competing in the 3xCup finals on May 1st. Additionally, on May 16th, St Helena participated in a friendly football academy day against Diamond Valley College at Diamond Valley’s grounds, developing sportsmanship and teamwork between the schools.

Our football academy continues to hold weekly two-hour training sessions at Anthony Beale Football Oval. During these sessions, students engage in a variety of drills designed to maximize their ball handling skills, including kicking and handballing exercises. These activities help players develop greater confidence and familiarity with the ball, keeping them actively involved and immersed in the flow of the game. Each session typically concludes with a small-sided match, allowing students to apply their skills in a competitive yet supportive environment before they walk back to school.
