This term in Mandarin, students are exploring exciting, real-life topics that build both language and cultural understanding. 

 

Foundation students are exploring colours in Mandarin through songs, stories, and hands-on activities to help them recognise and use colour words with confidence.

 

Year 1/2 students are learning to talk about school uniforms using Mandarin words for clothing, colours, and simple describing words. Through songs, games, and drawing activities, they are practising how to describe what they and others wear to school. They are also learning about school uniforms in China and other Asian countries to encourage cultural awareness.

 

Year 3/4 students are exploring daily routines and school life. They are learning how to describe their typical day in Mandarin, express likes and dislikes about school subjects, and compare their experiences with those of students in China.

 

Year 5/6 students are focusing on sports and hobbies. They are expanding their vocabulary through fun and collaborative tasks and will design their own lunchtime club, presenting their ideas using Mandarin.
