Leadership at BBPS

Media Captains and Grade 3/4 Journalists

It was an absolute pleasure welcoming back our former school captain, Finn McGuiness, and hearing his experiences both at BBPS and in his role now as an AFL Hawhthorn Hawks player. Having a former student visit was an extra special experience, and we thank Finn for so generously giving his time to be interviewed by our 3/4 students, and participating in our first ever podcast, hosted by our Media Captains. A particular crowd pleaser with our students was his love of his favourite school camp to Phillip Island, and we had many students thrilled to know he was a member of Wilson House. Mr A was pretty chuffed to be named his favourite teacher too! Thanks to Will Crossland for organising this opportunity.

We are excited to share our podcast with you all - well done to Nick, Elise and Myles for such a fantastic first effort. And a huge thank you to Kim Gascoigne (Kira, Grade 1) who has been giving her time, equipment and expertise to this Leadership Action Project.

Chad (Prep): "When I met Finn McGuiness I was really happy because I've never met him before. I love Hawthorn and I was excited to meet someone who plays for the Hawks. He signed my jumper!"

Art Captains

Our Art Captains need your help! They are looking for old gum boots for their Action Project workshop. Please send any unwanted gumboots to Grade 6 as soon as possible.

Grade 6 Action Projects

Well done to all our Grade 6 students, who are busy preparing carnivals, workshops, games and tournaments for students in grades P-5 as this year's action projects. See below for a sneak peak as to what is on offer, more to come about these later in the term.
