The Department of State Growth is reviewing the current Greater Hobart bus network, including urban Hobart and outlying areas such as New Norfolk, Sorell and Southern Beaches, Richmond, Campania, and the Huon Valley. This review includes the public bus network currently operated by Metro, Tassielink, and Kinetic, as well as the Metro school bus network.
The Mount Carmel College bus services provided by Walkers Coaches and Lovells Coaches are not included in this review.
The review aims to deliver updated routes and timetables that are reliable, easy to use, and convenient, improve access to jobs and everyday needs like shopping and social activities, and make better use of available funding to benefit the most people.
Mount Carmel families are encouraged to provide their feedback if their area is not adequately covered for transport to and from school.
You can provide your feedback until 20 June 2025. To submit your feedback, please visit the Social Pinpoint page.

Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)
The Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) takes place every year. The NCCD is a collection that counts:
the number of school students receiving an adjustment or ‘help’ due to disability
the level of adjustment they are receiving to access education on the same basis as other students.
This information assists schools to:
formally recognise the supports and adjustments provided to students with disability in schools
consider how they can strengthen the support of students with disability in schools
develop shared practices so that they can review their learning programs in order to improve educational outcomes for students with disability.
The NCCD provides state and federal governments with the information they need to plan more broadly for the support of students with disability.

Turn the Tables
Save the date for June 13th as Taylor and Bella, two young Tassie artists, are holding an event titled 'Turn the Tables'.
It will be running from 3:30pm - 4:30pm, and then followed by a live music set by brm.
This event will focus on the experiences of young people accessing services such as headspace, Home Base, Workskills, WIO, SASS, and more.
They will talk about their journeys, what worked, and what didn't. Each speaker will also discuss the value of the arts and creative expression, and how it has played a role in supporting their positive mental health outcomes.
YARC GAllery
The YARC Gallery offers a great opportunity for young artists to showcase their artwork through a public program of visual art exhibitions.
It is a great first step in showcasing their art to the community while gaining hands-on experience on the exhibition process in a supported environment.
Exhibitions are by individual artists, groups, schools or by other organisations or programs that are working with young people.
The YARC Gallery is located inside the Youth Arts and Recreation Centre and is accessible to both young people visiting the centre and to the broader community.
The Gallery is open to public viewing from the 44 Collins Street entrance to the Centre.
Tuesday - Friday | 9.30 am - 5 pm.
