Literacy: Word Study: Year 2 sound focus this week is: oa. Year 3 sound focus this week is: oa, ow, o_e. Below are the two lists of words we will be using at school to practice the sounds with.

Writer’s Workshop: we will continue our unit exploring information texts. We plan on publishing an infographic on a chosen landmark. Please support your child by asking them about their chosen landmark and have discussions about it.
Readers Workshop: we will be focusing on finding connections in the books we read, using books as mirrors.
Mathematics: We will be revisiting collecting data using tallies and will begin looking at how we represent data using graphs.
Unit of Inquiry: We will continue our main unit of inquiry this term – Where we are in place and time with a focus on Landmarks. We will also continue exploring resilience weekly through an ongoing learning journal project.

Glow Week – Term 2, Week 9 (June 23 – June 27)
We are super excited that GLOW week is back in Week 9 Term 2. If you have any special skills or hobbies that you’d be willing to share with the children, or if you would like to volunteer for this amazing week of learning, please contact your classroom teacher.
Soccer Clinics
Ongoing reminder that we have soccer clinics on Thursdays this term. (Week 4 – Week 7). Year 3s will need to wear PE on these days.
King’s Birthday Holiday – please note that there is no school, Monday 9th June due to the public holiday.
