Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

Last Saturday some of our Yr 3 students received their First Reconciliation. This important Sacrament of forgiveness continues their Catholic faith journey. Congratulations to Michaela, Anastasia, Liana, Maya, Harvey, Alex, Blake, Thomas H and  Johnnie.

On Tuesday John Paul College hosted our Year 5 students where they had a chance to find out a bit more about how high schools work. From the pictures I have seen and the stories I have been told the Food Tech and Science Lab parts of the day were absolute highlights. Our thanks to Principal John Visentin and his team of staff for offering this day and ensuring it was one to remember!

The Division Cross Country at Hastings was on Wednesday afternoon for those students who had won their way through at the Seaford District Cross Country. It was a fairly tough 3km course but all of our representatives managed to complete it. Congratulations to Darcy, Paul, Jacob E, Finn, Beatrix, Haven M, Owen, Levi, Harry and Joseph on your efforts.

Our annual House Sports were to be tomorrow but due to the expected weather we have decided to postpone to 4th Term.

Tomorrow afternoon we will be holding our Pentecost Liturgy in the hall at 2.45pm. Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ. We talk about it with the students as the birth of the Church which empowers us to bear witness to Christ's work, spreading the Church into the world and how our students can do this.

Next Monday is the King's Birthday holiday so I look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday.

Thanks again for a wonderful week, and we look forward to what’s ahead!

God Bless

Rod Shaw
