In Prep, students are learning signs to help them at school, such as 'Teacher', 'Toilet', 'Please' and 'Thank-you'. They have been practising their colours and are preparing to show you a special song at assembly in a few weeks!

Grades 2 - 6

In Auslan we were learning about making tea. We learnt some new signs - grandparents, grandpa, grandma/mother and grandchild - daughter and son. We got up with a partner and pretended to be the grandparent or the grandchild. We started actually making some tea. At the end we got to drink the tea and eat the biscuit! We all had fun!

In Auslan we learnt about making tea. We were acting as grandparents and grandchildren. We made tea and ate biscuits. We learnt how to sign 'grandpa, grandma, grandson and grand-daughter and other signs related to making tea. We worked in partners. We acted it out in front of the green screen. We were all really brave and we all had fun!

In Auslan we learnt about visiting our grandparents and making tea. We learnt the signs for grandfather, grandmother, grand-daughter, grandson, tea, milk, sugar and biscuits.

We recorded the conversation with a partner (one being the grandparent and the other being the grandchild), in front of the greenscreen. This Auslan session was very fun because while we enjoyed our tea, we also learnt some new signs.
