Marylene Douglas

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

In 2 weeks time, our Year 4 students will be receiving the  Sacrament of their First Eucharist and, as Fr Andrew re-iterated at their Family Workshop, it's a special occasion as it's their First time receiving this gift but most importantly, it is a gift that can be received over and over again, everytime we attend mass. Gathering at Mass supports our formation in faith and brings us closer to Jesus.

Through gathering, hearing the Gospel and sharing in the Blessed Sacrament we are shaped and inspired. When we go out from Mass we are called to love and serve our God by being the face of Jesus to others.  We are asked to..

“GO IN PEACE TO LOVE AND SERVE THE LORD”

Our way to serve God in love is to show love to one another. Jesus showed us how to do this at the Last Supper when he washed his disciples' feet. We can follow His example of showing love through our service to each other.

May we pray for our First Eucharist Candidates as they continue their faith journey and may they know God is always there to guide and nourish them to live out the Gospel values of  Faith, Hope and Love.

One way that our amazing St Louis' Community shows love and service to others is through their incredibly generous fundraising efforts for those less fortunate.

We were able to raise almost $1,500 for Caritas through the Project Compassion Donation boxes and an outstanding $3,845 for our Water Walk.

Please read the letters of appreciation our awesome St Louis' community received!

Congratulations to 1CA who raised the most money, just over $700, for our Water Walk, whilst 5RC came second with a total of                                                                                                  almost $500.

THANK YOU EVERYBODY for your very generous donations!
