Maths at Westgrove:

Maths Apps:

Several fun and free math apps for kids are available, including Prodigy, Khan Academy Kids, and Moose Math, all of which offer interactive learning experiences for different age groups. DoodleMaths and Monster Math also provide engaging ways for kids to practice and learn math concepts. 

Here's a more detailed look at some of these options:

• Prodigy Math Games:

  A comprehensive game platform used by schools and available for home use, Prodigy. 

   

• Khan Academy Kids:

  Offers a wide range of interactive lessons and activities covering math, literacy, and more, with adaptive learning technology, Khan Academy Kids. 

   

• Moose Math:

  Provides engaging math games designed for early learners, introducing them to numbers, counting, addition, and subtraction, Moose Math. 

   

• DoodleMaths:

  A curriculum-aligned app that tailors to a child's learning needs and adapts to their ability, available on various devices, DoodleMaths. 

   

• Monster Math:

  Focuses on mental math practice, with a variety of games for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, Monster Math. 

   

Fortnightly Westgrove Maths Competition:

This year we will be awarding a prize to one correct entry for both problems.  We encourage you to solve these as a family and have your child place the answer with working out into the Competition box in the Office Foyer.  Winners will be announced during our Morning Briefing each Fortnight.  This fortnight's entries are due by Thursday 3rd July (last week of term).
