Opportunities for all students to participate
Swimming Carnival
The 2024 Swimming Carnival proved to be an outstanding success, drawing a remarkable turnout of over 700 students, with over 200 enthusiastically participating in the various events. The competitive spirit ran high, infusing the atmosphere with excitement and energy throughout the day. While commendations are extended to all houses for their commendable efforts and sportsmanship. Let's give a big congratulations to everyone that participated in the races!
Cecil Hills High School had some standout performers, with the following students winning age champions:
12 years: Panayoti Totsis
13 years: Finn Hulls and Mia Suwanto
14 years: Riley Truong and Taliyah Wang
15 years: Leandre Lonita and Laura Sedlan
16 years: Rhys Troung and Davina Kong

Chisholm screamed their lungs out and led the house to a victory of the chants and the Year 11 and 12 students showed amazing school spirit by dressing up in amazing costumes, like our favourites: Shrek, Minions and Grapes.
It's with great pride that we announce the

Athletics Carnival
Just like the swimming carnival the athletics carnival was a fantastic day with lots of fun and participation. Even though the day started off with a bit of rain it quickly cleared up into the perfect weather for some good competition. The first competition was the chants, where Chisholm took the victory. The Year 12 students also participated in a 100m race which was a fun way for them to their last school carnival.
Everyone who competed that day did well and had fun but there were some outstanding athletes from each grade:
12 years: Levant Mansoor and Shanaya Singh
13 years: Lachlan Obradors and Mia Cardarello
14 years: Zaki Younes and Evangel Chuna
15 years: Jake Glasovac, Arman Nazari and Jayda Tu’Akoi
16 years: Kaylen Pratap and Chloe Dempsey
17+ years: George Drmic and Ashlee Gestrin
Over with the house leaders there were many activities for the students to participate in whilst cheering on their friends and waiting to compete, such as tug of war, volleyball, soccer and knots and crosses.
We can't forget to give a huge congratulations to Whitlam for once again winning overall, hopefully they win again at cross country to take out the ultimate victory!
