Click here to see the transformation of our Library into the Discovery Centre, featuring the Lumination Lab. The new VR and AR technologies have already been utilised to aid student learning across multiple subject areas. Students now have further opportunity to understand and connect with their studies in various ways, ensuring learning is fun and engaging for all.
This technology also allows for a greater degree of personalisation, with the ability to further customise learning and gear it to harness strengths, needs, skills and interests.
Term 1 Learning Conversations
In response to feedback from our community, we moved the Learning Conversations to the end of Term 1. They were held on Wednesday this week and were a clear testament to the value of a proactive student-home-school partnership. The night was one of our busiest Learning Conversation evenings, and it was a joy to see so many productive and supportive conversations taking place throughout the College.
Special note should be made of the Year 7 students who not only had their first secondary school Learning Conversation, but had prepared themselves to run the discussion about their learning. All Year 7 parents and caregivers met with one of the teachers who teach their child for the majority of the week. This was a big undertaking spanning two nights. The Year 7 students are to be
congratulated for the way they showed a high level of self-awareness and agency to present their learning to their parents/caregivers and teacher.
Thank you to all students, parents, caregivers and teachers for investing in the learning that is happening within the College and making the commitment to all learners.
Congratulations students on the efforts you have made in your learning this term.
You show the school community all of the time the amazing things of which you are capable!
