Easter Services at Endeavour College

Either side of the Easter Weekend, Endeavour held two chapel services that focused on Jesus death and resurrection.

These services were put together in consultation with the three Student Spiritual Leaders, together with the wider Student Ministry Team (known as Resound) and the support of multiple staff and students.

Altogether, these two services utilised the input and support of a minimum of 12 staff and 15 students.

The Maundy Thursday/Good Friday Service focused on a reading from John 13, focusing on Jesus' message to his disciples on the night before he died. It included approximately 230 students receiving Holy Communion in a manner that honoured both the receiving of Jesus in this meal, and the diversity of our College as a whole. The service concluded with a focus on Jesus demonstrating that God is our friend, with a focus on these words from Jesus:

"Greater love has no one than this - that they lay down their life for their friends" - John 15:13.

The Resurrection Celebration service focused on Thomas, and included a monologue based on the experience of Thomas Didymus, a message on who Thomas was written and delivered by Aiden Young, and a powerful video where three students and two staff shared the difference that Jesus has made in their lives.

Both of these services were extremely well received by the Endeavour College community, and are a testament to our three student Spiritual Leaders.

We are very grateful for all those that were involved and the engagement of the entire staff and student community.
