Golf
Congratulations to Oliver P who played in the NSWCCC Golf trials at Belmont Golf course last week. He had a round of 79, seven over par and finished equal 14th with six boys. This is a great result in an Open event as Oliver commenced Year 7 at the beginning of the year and will look forward to future tournaments.
The following NSWCCC Trial registrations are open. Please note these are state NSWCCC trials for students with elite rep experience.

Rugby League
Congratulations to Jess B in Year 11 who has been called up to the Open Girls Diocesan Team to attend the Northern NSWCCC Trials.
Our school teams, both boys and girls, are currently training each Thursday during sport in preparation for upcoming competitions including the Cochrane Cup and Alan Tongue 10’s.
Diocesan Swimming
Congratulations to Emmitt M and Riley S who have been selected to represent the Diocese at the NSWCCC Swimming Championships in Sydney at Homebush on 4 April. Riley qualified in the 50m Freestyle and Emmitt in the 15yrs 50m Freestyle. Congratulations to Mia D who was placed equal first in the 18yrs Age Championship. This is a very impressive overall result at the Diocesan level.
Cross Country
During PE lessons, students have commenced training for the School Cross Country to be held in Week 10 on Thursday 4 April. All students from Years 7-12 will be involved across varying distances. A note will be issued in the forthcoming days via Compass. Students will be selected from this event for the Diocesan Cross Country to be conducted at Glenbawn Dam - Term 2 - Week 2, 9 May. St Joseph’s is the host for this carnival.
Soccer
Our school soccer teams, both boys and girls, have been training with Mr Hall and Mr Field during Thursday afternoon sport in preparation for the Bill Turner Cup and Trophy competitions in the coming weeks. We are currently waiting for confirmation of dates and venues.
Year 9 Outward Bound
In Week 10 of this term, Wednesday 3 April, we will be launching the Year 9 Outward Bound program. Mr Ian Wells, the school liaison officer from Outward Bound Australia will be in attendance at school to meet with Year 9 students in Period 6 and then with parents from 5.30-6.30pm. Further information will be sent to all Year 9 parents via Compass.

Term 3: Week 9 - Depart Sunday 15 September
Outward Bound course Monday 16 September - Friday 20 September
Return Friday 20 September.
