Year Six
On Tuesday 12th March, a leadership group of Year Six students went into the city with Mr Smith and Miss Purcell to actively participate in the Dream and Lead Conference. This leadership conference aimed at building our students' understanding and confidence as an emerging leader at ENPS.
Below are some reflections from students who attended the conference.
I found the Dream and Lead Conference really inspirational because we had the opportunity to listen to guest speakers about their experiences and their journey to success and how they made it to where they are now. One of my favourite things a speaker mentioned was when she defined resilience as: resilience is when you bounce forward, not back, because you are always learning, growing and changing. I found the conference really exciting and fun, because we had the chance to participate in activities and talk to students from other schools. But, my favourite part of the conference was when a song would play on the speakers, and we would be told to stand up and start dancing!!

My five key takeaways from the Dream and Lead Conference are; it is important to find where you belong, resilience is a muscle that you can build, to bounce forward, you can change hate into motivation and lastly you are never too young to create change. I loved the Dream and Lead Conference and I think it was very impactful and a great experience!

My reflection on the dream and lead conference is, the Dream and Lead Conference was very inspiring and interesting. Teaching us as students great leadership skills and knowledge. We heard several speakers share their journey through their life of leadership and dreams. First we headed on the 59 tram for one hour all the way to Melbourne Convention Centre. There we entered the huge centre, where we were given a booklet to record our new thinking and learning. Overall the experience was inspirational and amazing, and an experience I will never forget.
