Music Matters

An important notice regarding the Ensembles Program

Please be aware that it is an expectation that all students participating in our Music Ensemble Program (with the exception of those enrolled in Digital Music, Live Production, the Chorales and Drama) are engaged in private tuition lessons for their respective instruments. These lessons may be arranged either within or outside the College.

It is essential to understand that the Ensemble Program serves as an extension of a student's instrumental learning journey. Please note, therefore, that our Ensemble Directors are unable to dedicate rehearsal time to teaching students how to play their instruments. Instead, the focus is on ensemble dynamics, musical interpretation, and performance refinement.

We encourage all participants to prioritise their private tuition lessons to enhance their proficiency and enjoyment within the ensemble setting, as well as concentrate on their own pieces.

Year 7 Chase Scenes

This term all Year 7 students taking Drama were asked to create a Chase Scene in one of the following mediums: drawing, stop-motion or video. As always there were many outstanding entries. We will be sharing these with the wider community over the next couple of weeks.
