2024 Primary Musicfest

We extend our gratitude to all the Primary students who showcased their talents at this week's Musicfest, and to our Secondary leaders - Sophie Lloyd, Bella Harris, Arwen Abad and Hannah Dryden - for their assistance. Special thanks to our esteemed adjudicators, Judy Lin, Craig Allister Young and Katie Gold, whose expert feedback enriched the experience for our participants. The following students were identified for their outstanding performances:

Piano: Hugo Heinemann, Iris Dou, Haiden Kim and Isabella Buttenshaw

Strings: Haiden Kim, Mahika Dhingra, Harriet Slaughter, Alegria Heinemann and

Myla Gant

Band: Leila Geere and Lia Lee

An exciting moment for our string players was the chance to experience captivating cello playing by Craig Allister Young, a seasoned member of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. Following this inspiring showcase, Bella Harris, our Year 12 Strings Leader, had the privilege of participating in a masterclass led by Craig.

Private Instrumental and Vocal Tuition

This year we have updated the billing method for Music Tuition at Clayfield College. Fees for music tuition covering Term 1 and Term 2 will now be consolidated and appear on each student's account in the Term 2 invoice. Students will be billed based on the number of lessons they were allocated in Term 1, plus a set amount for eight lessons in Term 2.

Should parents decide to withdraw their child from Private Tuition, it's imperative that the Music Department is informed. Failing to cancel lessons in a timely manner will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to two weeks of lessons. To avoid this, please ensure you send a withdrawal notification email to music@clayfield.qld.edu.au by the end of Term 1.

For a detailed understanding of our Terms and Conditions, we encourage you to review the information provided on the lesson application below.
