Tours are being held on allocated dates.  You can book a tour via the button below.  Feel free to pass this on to family and friends wanting a tour.

Wattle Group Staffing

The lovely Shannon, from Wattle group is currently studying her Bachelor in Early Childhood.  As part of her studies she needs to complete placement in another service.  So for the first 4 weeks of Term 2 Shannon will be away on placement.  Relieving Shannon we have been very lucky to organise the equally lovely Eliza.  Most of the children know Eliza as she helped out at the beginning of the year supportting the 3 YO's settling in.

We wish Shannon all the very best on her Placement and look forward to her return in Week 5!

Colour Run

We had the absolute best day last week, running in the Colour Run at the school!  A huge thank you to all the volunteers who assisted on design, set up, marshalling children and packing up.  These events cannot take place without you all.

The pictures of the event really do speak for themselves.  We were so impressed with all the kinder children who participated.  They all loved getting splashed with colour and attempting all the obstacles, well done to you all!!!

Harmony Day Celebrations

Over the course of the week we have celebrated Harmony Week.  It has been lovely to see so many of the children dressed in their cultural dress and talk share traditions they have in their families.  We are so lucky to have so many families from different cultural backgrounds.

Easter Celebrations

We were very lucky to have the Easter Bunny visit earlier this week and drop off some easter eggs for all the children.  Some of the children even caught the Easter Bunny in the act!!  We have all enjoyed gluing and cutting to make some very lovely Easter Baskets.   The 3 YO's also got to make some super yummy Hot Cross Buns.

Program Highlight

Our 4 YO Lasiandra group have been learning their addresses.  We have discussed the numbers on their letter boxes, what their houses look like.  This then led to discussions about streets and signs you might see near roads.  The children created a group mural of all their houses, that included their house numbers, and some landmarks around the kinder (apparently that includes a jail, hahaha), as well as some street signs.  They all worked so hard and enjoyed every minute of putting it together!

Wet Weather Play

As the weather gets cooler and wetter next term we will still be venturing outside.  With the right clothing, there are so many benefits to playing outdoors in the wet.

At kinder we provide Mudlark waterproof jumpsuits (as seen below) and gumboots for children who want to play in the mud and puddles.  We are always looking for donations of gumboots, so please bring any in that your children have grown out of.

We do recommend that families do NOT send children in their good clothing to kinder.  Keep that for the weekends.  We will get messy and we will learn so much whilst doing it!!
