SACRAMENT OF FIRST HOLY EUCHARIST

We have begun preparations for students in Year 4 who will be receiving Jesus for the first time in FIRST HOLY EUCHARIST next term. A notice was sent out to each child in Year 4 with:

  •  Information regarding the Sacrament
  • Commonly Asked Questions
  • Special dates
  • Times of Masses in the Parish and
  • A link to the enrolment form

Please note that only students who have received the Sacrament of Reconciliation in 2023 or 2024 and have been enrolled into the Sacrament preparation via the link will be able to participate in this Special occasion in June.

For families in Years 5 and 6 wishing for their child/ren to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist, please email me ataiacopino@olps.vic.edu.au to confirm your child's possibility of receiving the Sacrament.

Sharing a PROJECT COMPASSION project

As we approach the end of our Project Compassion fundraising, I would like to take this opportunity to share the BRILLIANT initative of one of our Year 2 students; Enzo. Over the Lent season he has been collecting donations for Project Compassion and made this video to go with it. As of beginning of this week, Enzo has raised over $100 through he great thinking. Well done Enzo! We are very proud of your efforts during this time.

We will share our final donation count with you next Term.

2024 SACRAMENTAL DATES 

Important Dates for each Sacrament will be added closer to the times.

Sacrament of First Holy Eucharist - Year 4

  • Student Retreat Day: Tuesday 14th May 8.50am - 3pm
  • Sign up & Presentation Weekend: 18th or 19th of May 2024 - Attend any of the Parish Masses 
  • Family Faith Night: Tuesday 21st May 7pm
  • First Communion Celebration: Sunday 2nd of  June 2024 at 2:00 pm

Sacrament of Confirmation - Year 6 

  • Sign up and Presentation Weekend 10th or 11th of August 2024- Attend any of the Parish Masses 
  • Confirmation Celebration: Sunday 18th of August 2024 at 1:00 pm

Alleluia! Alleluia! He is risen!
