God's Love and Care for All

Term 1, Week 9

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we come to the end of Term 1, I would like to thank our parents for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. Your involvement and support are such an important aspect in creating a positive and enriching learning environment for our students and your child/ren. I would also like to thank our teachers for all they do for our students in ensuring their learning success and building positive relationships.

It has been a short yet very busy term with many excursions, incursions, swimming, Year 3 Reconciliation, Year 5 camp, Parent Teacher Conversations, whole school Masses, Prep 2025 school tours and of course Athletics Day. These additional programs and activities offer our students opportunities for personal development and explore learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

Term 2 will be a longer term - 11 weeks! I’m sure it is going to be just as busy with lots of exciting and engaging learning opportunities planned.

Thank you to Mr Iacopino and our Social Justice Leaders for leading our whole school Easter liturgy. We listened to the Easter story and  reflected on the importance of empathy and  kindness. The Easter story also helps us all to reflect on our own lives, the choices we make and the values we hold.

Special thanks to all who contributed to our annual Athletics Sports Day. Great weather and a well organised and fun day for all. Thank you to Mr Whitty, Mrs Herd, Mr Graziano and our teachers for preparing our students for all the events. Our students showed some impressive athletic ability and their willingness to give it a go was also great to see. Our Preps were very excited to attend their first athletics day. Great to see the chanting and encouragement from the students as they cheered each other on.

Thank you to our parents, grandparents and extended family members who attend to support the students. Lots of parents cheering from the sidelines which added to the excitement of the day.

Special thanks to all our parent helpers:

Chris and Jess Eggins, Tara Anderson, Dee Gangi, Gnanthi Gamage, Allen Anwia, Corrol Cambrea, Sandra Vella, Ryan Beves, Tanya Dahdah, Shannon Pagliaro, Maryam Aprem, Jaya Gamage, Reem Foad, , Sunimal Somaratne, Filomena El-Darwich, Sarah Mercuri, Vu Loan Phan, Rose Kumatse, Emma Sajo.
