Congratulations to Ari Tran (3/4S) 

Ari achieved first prize in the Japanese Language Teacher Association of Victoria’s calligraphy competition in the year 3/4 pencil category. 

All students at St Michael’s from year one to six tried both brush and pencil Japanese calligraphy for this competition, more students will be receiving certificates for making it to the finals. Special thanks to Tazuko Litchfield who volunteered to help our students with this special activity. 

Congratulations to Adidev Seth (3/4KG)

Adidev won the second place trophy at the Victorian Junior Under 8 State Rapid Chess Championships held during the September school holidays. 

Adidev won 6 games out of 7 and tied with the first-place winner, but came second on tie breaks.
