Welcome to the New Look DSPS Newsletter

We are excited to launch the first edition of the DSPS Newsletter via a digital friendly platform. This platform should prove user friendly on mobile, tablet , email and desktop applications.  The newsletter will be published weekly on a Friday via SENTRAL and accessible on the school website the following week.

What's in a name....?

The creative minds within the Junior School Council will appoint an official newsletter publication name - stay tuned!

CSEF |   Funding to help with costs of Camps, Sports and Excursions.

Families who hold a current, valid Health Care Card may be eligible to apply for the Camps, Sports & Excursion (CSEF) Allowance of $125 per student. If you successfully applied for CSEF in 2023 you do NOT need to complete an application form in 2024 unless there has been a change in your family circumstances (ie Foundation student starting school). Please come to the Office to collect an application form which needs to be completed and returned together with a copy of your Health Care Card (we can copy it in the office). Please return forms ASAP.

Late Arrivals / Early Departures

If you have an appointment or another reason for collecting your child during the school day, please make sure you contact the classroom teacher via SENTRAL (Messenger) prior to your arrival. Parents are asked to come into the office to collect and sign out their student via the Kiosk (computer) at front reception.

Where practical, please schedule appointments outside school hours or during recess/lunch , limiting disruption to the classroom learning environment.

Visiting the School

Dana Street Primary School  is a welcoming community and as part of our Child Safe Policy and Process, all visitors to the school must report directly to the office upon arrival and sign in including Parent Helpers, Volunteers and Contractors.
