My term 4 highlight was sharing my neighbouring country to the class because the class learnt more about my chosen country. I also enjoyed doing meditation on Smiling Minds because it makes me relaxed and helps me settle for a new activity.

Reading the new book ‘Boy’ has also been a highlight because it is a really imaginative book and I have found it way more interesting than the last book we read ‘Darwin's Dragon’.

My Term 4 highlight was doing the neighboring country research because it was fun researching about a different country. My country was New Zealand, the reason why I chose New Zealand was because some of the New Zealand pictures looked interesting. My term 4 smart goal is to charge my laptop every night so it's ready for school the next day.

I have enjoyed learning about data this term because I liked going down to the main street and collecting data. My data was about car colours. There were a lot more white and black cars than I expected but not a lot of red. We made a column chart in google docs and I really enjoyed it.

I have enjoyed learning about how to write narratives and persuasives in term 4. The reason is because it's so fun to make up imaginary stories, and to persuade people in my writing. I have learned to use better sentences such as, ‘surely you’d agree’ and ‘just think about it’.

I have also enjoyed reading ‘Boy’ and writing down the answers to the comprehension questions. Also after recess and lunch we would do centring and we go back, forward, left and right and then centre ourselves. And I liked going down to Sorrento Main Street and collecting data on cars. Some highlights for me in term four are our new novel ‘Boy’ because I enjoy all our interesting vocabulary! Some of our vocabulary are words such as idyllic, cauldron, chloroform, adenoids and blighter which is an old archaic word. Some other things I enjoyed were when we constructed the 3D paper objects which are hanging in our room. I constructed a dodecahedron. It was a difficult shape but I really enjoyed making it.

This term I have enjoyed learning about how to write an explanation because it has shown me that I can write way more than just a story. When you write an explanation you have to  include the title and tell someone how something works. That's when you know you have successfully written an explanation. I have also enjoyed learning about our 3D objects because before that it wasn't my strongest type of learning. My 3D object was a square based pyramid. A square based pyramid has five faces, five vertices and eight edges.

My Term 4 highlight was that I enjoyed presenting my Samoa slide to everyone in my class. I liked it because I worked really hard on it and I also got to do a Canva video which is fun to make. I learnt about Samoa like the population, culture, the capital city and even more. I have also enjoyed reading Roald Dahl’s “Boy’. I really liked the vocabulary in it and we also got to learn about Roald Dahl’s life because it was an Autobiography. Some of the stages in this book were funny and some were scary, I could definitely feel how he was feeling at that moment. This was my highlight because it is fun to read and I got to learn new vocabulary that I haven’t heard before.

One of my Term 4 highlights has been the class book we have been reading called ‘Boy’ by Roald Dahl. It has been really interesting because it has been about Roald Dahl's younger life and his big family. It is fun and interesting. It is really interesting how much things have changed over the years. I have also liked FBI. The topic is Production. Production is a great topic because it shows how lucky and fortunate we are, it makes me feel sad and empathetic for the less fortunate.

This term I have enjoyed counting up and down

from a 4 digit number. I also loved when we had to make words instead of ‘said’ and making 3D objects out of sticks, l made a pentagonal pyramid. When the grade 4s went to Padua the grade 3s made paper chains and structures out of spaghetti and marshmallows.

I have enjoyed learning about how to write an explanation this term. I wrote about ‘How flowering plants grow?’ It was interesting to learn about how flowers reproduce new seeds to make more flowers. Another highlight in 3/4 is that we went into our community to collect data about types of transport, their brands and colours. I liked this because we collect data in our community and it was fun. We’ve also started reading a novel called ‘Boy' and it’s full of new words that we might not know the meaning of. I love reading this novel because it is fun and it sometimes makes you feel sick because the vocabulary makes it seem so real!

This term I have enjoyed presenting my neighboring countries. My country was Fiji. I chose Fiji because It sounded intriguing to me, and had heard about its tropical beaches. I enjoyed the experience because I had a choice to write what I wanted to and got to choose different backgrounds that I thought would resemble my writing about Fiji. Then we got to choose how we wanted to present our work, I chose to present my work on google slides, I presented in a group of three.
