4M

Hello from 4M

4M spent two days discussing and learning about Remembrance Day and the significance of Australian servicemen and women’s contribution to making Australia what it is today. Throughout the year we had opportunities to learn about our country’s history in war, notably with an incursion from Lieutenant Commander Dave Lassam. Our learning culminated with writing letters to servicemen and women, past and present, and some of whom are family. We displayed incredible thought, empathy, and gratitude when compiling our letters.

4M also put our detective hats on as we became place-value detectives to solve a number of riddles and problems in teams. While trying to become the next Sherlock Holmes we developed our place value and problem-solving skills.

We also enjoyed Halloween and completed a maths challenge where we worked in teams to solve worded problems. This helped our multiplication and division skills, and the prizes were some seriously spooky sour lollies. The faces say it all…
