4C

Hello from 4C

Term 4 has been fun filled and exciting for 4C!

Last week, the students commemorated Remembrance Day by creating poppies and reflecting on the importance and significance of the day. They wrote about what they ‘see, think and wonder’ about the event, and discovered why the poppy is a symbol for the day.

In Maths, 4C also worked on creating a class party for Halloween using a budget of $500. They needed to show that they could purchase food and drink, decorations, games, and costumes whilst staying within the $500 limit. The students then created posters that displayed all of their working out.

We also have an exciting inquiry project this term for our ‘Market What You Make’ topic. Students were introduced to the concept when they undertook the ‘Smoothie Bar’ incursion in the first week of term. They are now designing their own products and creating the packaging for them, including producing a brand name, logo and slogan. Everyone is really enjoying this unit of work and they all have very inventive designs and ideas.

Well done to 4C for working hard and creating wonderful pieces of work this term!
