Prep G

Prep G have been working really hard this term and there are many highlights so far.

The students have been brushing up on their speaking and listening skills with some partner activities. They love to discuss their weekends with a partner before they write. In the ‘Line Game’ the students move up and down the line talking to a new partner about their fun weekend. 

 Everyone has done such an outstanding job with their reading! After reading their take home books the Preps enjoy ‘Partner Reading’, where they can show their friends how well they can read by sharing a book together. 

We love rhyming along with the Pevan and Sarah Rhyme Time song. This week the students also watched the ‘Dustbunnies’ rhyming series. They made their own cute ‘Dustbunnies’ and created some rhymes. Suddenly they hear rhyming everywhere now!

This week the class have been learning about capacity. They love guessing the capacity with the Esti-Mystery series. This week we looked at the ‘Scoop of Beads’ mystery. Can you guess how many beads the scooper held? Then students compared lots of different shaped containers and their capacities. 

     Well done Preps! After such a busy week of hard work you have earned a big rest. Enjoy your weekend.
