Seniors Visit to the Doveton Library
Doveton Library Visit
On Tuesday the 28th of November, the senior school students visited Doveton library. We began the session with a ‘Guess Who’ game where three students were given a book character and had to guess who it was by asking questions to the audience. It was lots of fun. Naomi told us about the Big Summer Read and gave us some ideas for reading on the holidays (more information below). We were then given time to browse and borrow books and other reading material.
It was the junior students' turn to visit the library on Tuesday the 5th of December. When we arrived we did a Scavenger Hunt. We had to work with a partner to find clues in the library and write each of the letters next to the clue on the matching picture on our given worksheet. We worked out that the letters made the word ‘Library’. We then had plenty of time to look at and read picture story books, non fiction books, magazines and lots more! We borrowed books to take home and read on the holidays. There are plenty of activities over the Summer holidays at Doveton library!
