Weekly Wrap: Foundation
In the Foundation classroom, students have been fascinated by how quickly Fluffy Bags, Rosie and Snickers have grown!
During Literacy, we’ve been learning digraphs (2 letters that represent one sound) and using these to read and spell 4-letter words. We’ve also been working hard to memorise our ‘Tricky Words’ - words that can’t be sounded out normally, like ‘said’ and ‘my’.
In Numeracy, our ‘student leader of the day’ has been leading our daily Number Parade, as we count our first 100 days of school. We’ve also been learning about the teen numbers, and practising breaking apart smaller numbers into their ‘parts’.
I can’t believe we’re almost halfway through the year! I cannot wait to see what the fabulous Foundation class can accomplish in the second half of 2025.
F-2 Music and Movement:
This Term some students have shared the role as ‘narrator’ at the end of each lesson. Here is Sophie being narrator for Week 9.
F-2 PE:
F-2 Students have been practicing their athletic skills for our upcoming House Athletics!
Reminder for Years 3–6 Families 📣
A friendly reminder to please complete the Sovereign Hill camp approval via Compass as soon as possible. Approval is required for your child to attend this exciting experience. If you have any issues accessing Compass, please contact the school office for assistance.
Thank you for your support!
Lost & Found – Jumper Collection🧥
Mr Kemp has a growing collection of unnamed school jumpers in his office that have been handed in over the past few weeks. If your child has misplaced their jumper, we encourage them to pop in and check if one of these items belongs to them. Parents, if you've noticed a jumper has gone missing at home, please feel free to remind your child to visit Mr Kemp, or you’re welcome to drop by and have a look yourself.
We’d love to see these jumpers reunited with their owners before the end of term!
