Year 3 & 4

Around our level

Over the past couple of weeks, the Year 3 and 4 students have been working hard on assessments, information writing, and learning about perimeter in maths sessions. This week they had a lot of fun creating shapes using matchsticks and icy pole sticks and using these to calculate perimeter.

Speech writing has been a particular highlight and over this week and next, all the students will be presenting in front of their class.

Recap by Ella M from 3/4A

In Year 3/4 we have been writing Speech in a Bag and information reports. Writing information reports was so much fun. First we found out facts and we typed them up on a slide. Then we put them on a Google Doc. After we finished, we presented our reports.

When we wrote Speech in a Bag we brought in three special things. We did a draft and then we typed it down on a Google Doc. When we were writing we started with an intro then we wrote a body and conclusion. I really enjoyed writing Speech in a Bag because we wrote about things from home. I love how you can put lots of effort and determination into it.
