Important Changes To Library Loans

Improving Responsible Borrowing

The Library is proud to offer students access to over 15,000 physical resources including fiction, non-fiction, magazines and graphic novels. To ensure all students have equitable access to these shared resources, the Library is implementing new processes to help students manage and be accountable for their library loans.

Starting in Term 3, students will receive weekly email reminders when an item is overdue, at which point students are welcome to renew their books if they are still reading them.

Once an item is more than five weeks overdue, two further reminders will be emailed to parents/carers. If no communication is received within the 7 weeks of reminders, a replacement resource will need to be purchase, and an invoice will be issued.

We invite families to discuss with their children the books they are reading and to encourage students to access shared resources responsibly. Should you have a quesion regarding this, students and families are welcome to contact our Library Team at library.desk@stbedes.catholic.edu.au. This email address will be used to send overdue reminders and is monitored to respond to any enquiries.
