Independence Centre

Highlight
Selamat Siang,
We are nearly at the end of Term 2! Where has this year gone? This week was planning week in the Independence Centre. Students enjoyed a full day of their specialist classes on Tuesday while the teachers planned ahead for Term 3. We have some very exciting learning in store for next Term and can't wait to start.
This week, we have also looked at multiplication and division, revising strategies that help us understand what it means when we multiply and divide numbers. We have had a particular focus on equal groups to demonstrate multiplication and division and have explored these with classroom resources such as the MAB blocks. We also got the chance to visit the Grade 5/6's and play their probability maths games- where the students had such a wonderful time!
We hope you have had a great week.
Kathy, Ros, Julia, Mandy, and Suzie.
