Important Information

Kelly Sports

We’re excited to announce that Kelly Sports will be running after school programs for our Foundation to Grade 2 students in Term 3!

Two fun and engaging programs will be offered:

  • Basketball (Mondays)
  • Mixed Sports (Wednesdays)

To give students a taste of what’s to come, Kelly Sports will run free clinics during the last week of Term 2.

If your child is interested in taking part, keep an eye out for a flyer coming home soon with details on how to register. Please note, the program includes a fee and will commence in Week 2 of Term 3.

ICAS

As in previous years, Mount Pleasant Road Primary School will not

be hosting ICAS competitions at school. If you wish for your child to

participate, please register via the ICAS website. Parents will be responsible for their child’s participation, as students will need to go to complete the tests at an external testing centre.

What is ICAS?

ICAS is an online academic competition that is designed to assess students’

higher order thinking and problem-solving skills in English, Mathematics,

Science, Writing and Digital Technologies. It is a parent paid competition

which is open to students from Years 2 to 6.

Every student who participates will receive a printed

certificate and an online results report. Top performers will be eligible for

medals.

In 2025, ICAS has partnered with Cliftons Event Solutions to

offer secure, supervised testing centres across Australia. Cliftons is an

authorised ICAS testing centre, providing a trusted environment for students to participate in the ICAS 2025 academic competition.

Before you book, please note:

  • One registration per transaction – if your child is sitting more than one subject, you’ll need to complete a separate registration for each one.
  • Students must bring their own device, fully charged and compatible with ICAS technical requirements.
  • Devices must have passed the technical readiness test.
  • For Writing and Spelling Bee, the locked-down browser application must be installed.
  • Spelling Bee also requires students to bring their own earphones.
