We mixed up your spelling last week by challenging the kids to recreate their spelling words from memory. Whilst it may have been challenging, it worked extremely well with nearly all students getting all of their spelling words correct after only 2 days of practice.
After our visit to the Kyabram Fauna Park the kids will begin a research project on some of their favourite native Australian animals. This will be tied into our maths sessions and our unit on writing poetry.
Science
Virtual Science with the Discovery CentreEach Thursday, our Prep/1 class takes part in the Chemistry Capers & World of Weather virtual science program alongside other small schools. The students have loved the hands-on activities—just take a look at our skittle rainbow experiment! (And yes, a few skittles may have disappeared along the way…)
