Celebrating Nude Food Lunches
We are thrilled to share with you the exciting and positive strides our school community is making towards a greener and more sustainable environment. One of our ongoing initiatives met with great enthusiasm, is the "Nude Food Lunchbox" campaign.
In our classrooms, we have been encouraging students to bring lunches without unnecessary wrappers and packaging. Our students bring their "nude food" lunchboxes daily, showcasing their dedication to reducing waste.
This initiative is not just about waste reduction; it is also an opportunity to educate our students about the importance of making thoughtful choices for the environment. By eliminating excess packaging, we are fostering a deeper understanding of the impact of our choices on the world around us.
Every week, we gather the total of nude food lunchboxes brought in by each class and announce the results during our school assembly. This not only builds a sense of friendly competition but also celebrates the collective effort of our students to make a difference.
Last term, the deserving winners of the "Nude Food Lunchbox" challenge were the students of grade 3B. As a reward for their exceptional efforts, they were treated to a cooking party in our school kitchen, where they had the chance to create delicious pizzas while learning about food preparation and teamwork.
A few of our grade 3B students have taken the time to share their experiences in a special piece for this newsletter.
