Principals Report

- Sarah Rose, Principal

What better way to round out the term than by seeing the beautiful spring weather arrive which I hope blesses us over the term break.

We’ve had another term full of enriching learning experiences and student achievements but I’ve no doubt all students, families and staff are ready for the break from routine and a chance to re-charge the batteries ready for final term of the school year. A reminder that school finishes early today with the final bell for the day ringing at 2.20pm.

Over the last week our VCE-VM students have run a Dodgeball competition and Kiosk for our Year7&8 students, with great success, our Year 12 students have played their final students v staff game, this time a game of soccer, our Year 8 girls and boys basketball teams have competed with the girls team progressing to the next round, our Yr 12 Outdoor Education students have been out on camp to the Cathedral Ranges, and a strong contingent of athletes competed at the Division Track and Field event.  Additionally, a number of students performed in the annual Instrumental Music Showcase on Tuesday evening, putting on a delightful show in our Barcham Theatre.

Yesterday we held Parent / Teacher Interviews and it was een great to see so many of our families meeting with teachers to discuss their child’s progress.  A reminder if you’ve not accessed them already that Term 3 Progress Reports are now available from Xuno. You can find them by going to the ‘Learning’ menu in the top left of the parent portal screen and selecting ‘Reports’.

Please take the time to read through the newsletter and take particular note of the section on Attendance and important dates for Term 4.

I wish you all a safe and rejuvenating break and look forward to another fantastic school term commencing on Monday 2nd October.
